About me
I'm a PhD graduate from the University of Kent, where I worked in the Programming Languages and Systems group.
My work focused on interpreter design and AST interpreter performance. See our 2023 OOPSLA paper - AST vs. Bytecode: Interpreters in the Age of Meta-Compilation.
I also maintain (and occasionally write about!) my fork of som-rs, a Rust-based interpreter for the SOM language.
I recently worked for Oracle, where I was part of the GraalPy team and worked on BytecodeDSL, which automatically generates a bytecode interpreter from a DSL specification. I focused on lowering its memory footprint, as well as improving interpreter performance.
